Hallo, Lane! This looks beautiful!! Could it have been sunrise yesterday (Mon., 18 Jan.)?? It was a beautiful sunny day, the first such since I reached Seattle on 6 Jan.! Tschuess, Anonomann
This morning would have been another photo op. As I look across the lake here at 07:45, I can actually see the sun, and 20 minutes ago there was a lot of color in the sky and smeared on the water of American Lake. We can see Mt. Rainier from my window too. So the total effect is one of awe. You seem to imply most of the time that you stay up late though, most evenings, and rise mid-morning. That certainly will be my schedule when I retire; unless something specific has to be done earlier in the day.
Got to the rack late, like 10:30pm, after the TFC meeting last night. The meeting went well; lots of warm banter and discussion. BRICK was liked more than I had anticipated, and the historical theme rampant within YOUNG VICTORIA and MRS. BROWN was well received as well. I am getting to be such a worry wart lethargic pissypants these days. I worry that my TFC meetings will not go well, that the enthusiasm will lag, or the participation will abort and fade out. But just not the case here. This group of movie buffs, ever expanding and trimming itself as folks attend and then don't, really have a passion for movies; something that sustains me and my interest. Lots of shake ups here at the office. Some time in the next week I have to give up and abandon my sanctuary, my office, to my replacement. She is a very capable person, and I am pleased that as the primary Visual Skills instructor she will do an above average job with the students, but hell, my space, my place, my spot will be gone. I will have a small desk out in the multi-purpose room, amongst 4 others; one tiny corner under constant scrutiny. It will take me a time to sort out how to continue to blog and work at the same time. In the meanwhile, I have to take down all my TFC posters, performance awards, college degrees, and pics of my IMDb page and my three films I appeared in, in short, everything that is me will have to go into a box and ride home with me, to sit in a corner. I have no real room at home for the stuff. I will safe the frames and probably put most of it in a folder or plastic pages in a notebook. Lots of organizing to be done with my world and my stuff at home. Change, change, change.... shit fire miss agnes. So I do not know when I will come to work since I will have no real privacy, or chance to skate and blog here and there. But we will see. I will probably find a way.
Hallo, Lane and other readers of this excellent blog:
I just read what is currently on the website www.gatheringnote.com
and would recommend it to all readers here; it has many interesting entries; two of the best relate to the current debacle of the Seattle Symphony and R.M. Campbell's "right on the button" review of the current "Trovatore" production at the McCaw. Tschuess, Anonomann
