Faith and begorrah

Or for you Republicans out there, "faith and buggery"

Anyway God bless the Irish!
To see the main reason, check out the beautiful picture at

  • Omniscient Mussel

  • Good bye, I've got to edit the cello duet.
After I clean up after the book group meeting last night.
    'twas a good discussion.
    'twas good food.
    Gotta wash dishes.
    Work. Work. Work.

I am sure that the Republicans out there are paying close attention to all that is written on FFTL. It is, after all, subversive and controversial from the get go.

Check out the new DVD, THE WIND THAT SHAKES THE BARLEY, all about the Irish rebellion in the 1920's; pretty dramatic stuff, pointing up the roots of the conflict England and Ireland have, so many things that will never be resolved, like Isreal and Palestine, like America and Islam.

The 1759 Guinness draught pictured on Ominisceint Mussel is what you are referring to I presume. Just have missed out all my life on the love of beer and ale thing. It all tastes like cat piss smells to me. Makes me quite a square in the minds of most, but there it is.

Did the Book Group meet at your house? That must be cool. Is Meredith a member of the group? What was the discussion about? What kind of food was so good? You just leave us all hanging on a slender thread, full of questions, inquiries, and confusion.

The Tacoma Film Club meets tomorrow night. We will discuss PERSEPOLIS, IN THIS WORLD, and SNOW CAKE. Our screening continue to go well in Tacoma at CSL. We usually bring in two to three dozen members for each one.

I looked up THE RUTLES, the Eric Idle spoof of the Beatles. I had forgotton about it; quite a hip and funny send up, two full years before Rob Reiner gave us SPINAL TAP. There was a sequel to the Rutles too, featuring cameos from many Rock luminaries.

Nice to see that Anonomann monitors the chatter, and jumps in when he wants to.

We met here. Meredith made the main course, Corned beef and cabbage.
We discussed a book about FDR and his old lady.
"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to happy"
Legend has it that Benjamin Franklin said that.
But, God didn't invent beer, we did.
Almost everything that homo sapiens has that's worth a damn was invented to further distance ourselves from where God left us,
    most especially religion.
We read, or looked at, I guess, Persepolis for the book group.
awhile back. Quite moving in places, but nothing like True story of part time whachacallt.
I've read Sherman Alexie, and whatzername is no Sherman Alexie.
Would I like to see the sequel to Rutles?
    Yes I would.
    Herr anonomann likes my music
    You like my music
    Alex likes my music.
Proof that God loves me and wishes I would stop griping about everything.

    Hallo, Lane,
There were pictures in "Omniscient Mussel", but I didn't find any of them "beautiful"! Was that Dawn Upshaw with the mouth only a dentist could love??
    Tschüß,
