Another nice day splog

Rode up yo the Arboretum and back
21.32 miles
2:08:42
9.9 avg speed
29.5 max speed
248.5 = 1305

Got back just in time for a shower and it was off to St Stevens for a concert.
Symphony in D major by Cesar Franck.
Organ concerto by Handel.
And something else by Handel that was a substitute for a Max Bruch piece for organ and orchestra.
The night before at the Rainier Symphony, we heard a Strauss horn concerto and his Alpine Symphony.
Lot's of BIG music crammed into some small venues.

But a good time was had by all.

Hooray, the Savant is back
in the saddle repeatedly
and Fidelio is feeling her
oats, or her gear oil, as
you roll hard and fast all
over those hills and dales.
Appears that your health
slump is history, and you
are back to pumping your
guts out around the lake.
The concerts sound great.
Where is St. Stevens?
June will be here soon and
then I will have a little
more time on my hands.
Perhaps we will manage to
hang out more once in a while,
you know, the old face time,
maybe even launch some fun
projects together, or not.
Our weekend at Pac Beach
was sterling; pretty good
weather, and nice company.
The couple we invited brought
their mutt, and it was fun
to have romping around.
We went into Ocean Shores
on Saturday and saw DATE NIGHT
with Steve Correll and Tina
Fey; funny as hell. Did some
beachcombing, and sight
seeing; no Bigfoot sightings
though--not yet.
I stayed home yesterday,
trying to use up some of
my sick leave, since the VA
will not pay for it when I
retire. It just drops off as
untaken leave. Can't let that
happen, enit?
After 3.5 days off, it is
always hard to rise at 0245am
and get ready for work, to
arrive at the office at 5:15am
and crank up the old computer.
Surfing and blogging is sort
of addictive actually. Did you
miss it when you were on
vacation for two weeks?
Generally on a trip, I don't
miss it. Things, people,
places, are still there when
you return, right?
I have learned finally how
to use the On Demand part of
my Comcast package and no longer
will I be sad if I forget to
tape one of my favorite shows;
most of them can be picked up
after the fact. Got busy picking
up old THE TUDORS, and STARGATE: UNIVERSE episodes yesterday.

Hallo, Lane!
The Franck and "Alpine" are two of my VERY favorite symphonies!! I'm jealous you were able to hear them "back-to-back"!!! That should make me personna non grata to all of you cacaphonic modern composers!! I'm grateful your music is listenable while being contemporary!!!
Tschüß,
Anonomann (+LL)

Hallo, Lane!
9.9 avg speed sounds safe and "legal" per the recent court case here mentioned in my comment to your chronologically-next blog, but 25 top speed sounds like you were "contributing" to any accident you may have at that speed.
Wishing you safe biking experiences!!
Tschüß,
Anonomann (and NOT the LL, who also bikes at unsafe speeds)
