No Lighthouse today

Bike ride
6 miles
45.58 minutes
8.3 mph average
24.7 max speed
1187 total miles on the odometer
54 degrees outside this morning when I got back.

Short ride 'cause the bike broke again.
Cable slipped again after being repaired and tightened, who knows?

Shifting gears still an iffy process.

preparing to varnish the violins.

Gosh, how old is Fidelio? Perhaps she is a bit past her prime? She is lucky to have a rider/owner with tools, and the ability to use them, enit?

We got back from Canada yesterday at about 2pm, and it was 69 degrees out; really lovely. One can hope that over the weekend, in between several concerts and trips to restuarants, Fidelio got fixed, one more time, and off you rode into the spring haze and heat.

We found several museums, vineyards, and restaurants on the Sannish pennisula, in and around Sidney, that were wonderful. We spend about 20 minutes in Victoria. It was suddenly way to hectic for us to want to deal with. The parking is nuts now; like downtown Seattle.

Sherwin Bitsui has requested that I delete his 35 prose pieces that I did the line breaks on. He was gracious and courtuous, but very insistent as well. I need to get to that in between a VERY busy week that is starting up here. My enthusiasm bubbles amuk over on FFTR. Damn shame a "real" poet does not feel good about it. Actually I understand, and in his place I probably would have done the same thing if some old fool had taken my work and reconfigured it.

I bought the Peugeot in 1965 in L.A.
for $65.00.
Always works fine on the bench.
