Ciao Marcello

Sitting out side the coffee house in the cool November afternoon.
The sun is raimented in it's winter garb but still brings a cheerful note to the season.
I talked to the guy on the corner about Proposition 8 .
We shored up each others philosophy on the matter.

The ACLU plans a supreme court challenge to the disgusting thing.
Shame on California for that.

The religiosos of the world should remember that God created the sun and the stars, the world, and homosexuality.
But he did not create religion.
And yea, they should practice a little appropriate humility.

As this season dawns, I seem to remember that many of our entertainments contain the concept of miracles.

Maybe it's just a prophylactic for Seasonal Affective Disorder, but I'm looking forward to a miracle or two this year.

Perhaps we drained our miracle account with the election, but why not give them a chance to happen?

Che sempre una prima volta

Any it's a kick to sit at an outside table watching the world revolve.

Feel like I'm in an Italian movie.

Arrivederci....Amici!

"drained our miracle account"

I think it's getting filled up again, been feeling some love deposits lately.

You put your hot finger on the pulse of issue here, "God did not create religion." When you study the Dead Sea Scrolls or the Gnostic texts we find that Jesus was really quite busy trying to shed some light on archaic truths, even for his time--that our acceptance of the veil of forgetfulness at birth does get in our way, that God is within us equally. Homosexuality has been with us as long as we have been erect, and probably before that. It is extant withing the lower animal substrata as well. Gay primates are a hoot.

I love the thought and the imagery of you sitting outside watching the world whirl by, sipping the bean, quoting Latin, and thinking in Fellini. Sounds like a terrific way to pass some part of the day.

Miracles, yes, they can happen, they do happen, and I doubt there is a quota. Our black President and his think-tank posse will swirl up the miracle dust aplenty; mark my words, sir. It is a lovely sentiment for you to expect miracles; because we have earned them putting up with 8 years of the Bush Wars and the Great Oil Party. It is like we have been hit by a hurricane, and have to rebuild from the ground up. But being like worker ants, we will get it done.

Speaking of a posse, over on Jannie's blog, there are gaggles and packs and herds of admirers and friends who jump on her every comment and emotion. Her site is a very personal and humorous one. I really enjoy just poking around on it. And perhaps one day she will produce her musical, and get out that CD of ballads.
