New Toy
Sixty one miles per gallon for the first four hundred miles on the Prius.
There it is, the cute little bugger.
Cedric Seagull looks on admiringly.
Anyway that was the first day, out at the beach.
Later we stayed close to the lake and the weather changed.
We had two more or less sunny days and two rainy foggy days.
We looked at waterfalls.
And sat around the cabin eating cookies and reading books.

61mph is beyond terrific. A lot of other Prius owners of the past said it usually averaged in the high 40's and low 50's; nothing to sneeze at either way. Which beach did you head to....Pac Beach, Moclips, Tohollah, what?
The rainy and foggy pics do look a bit creepy, but kind of cool as well. What cabin are you staying at this time? Or do you usually stay at the same one?
Your posting of last week really stirred up some turds, sir. 52 responses and counting. Anonomann seemed to have a case of the ass relative to my lame attempts at using his style and moniker. I put in 23 responses to demonstrate my rancor and righteous indignation. He even went so far as to label my poetry as "drivvel". Man,that's cold.
By the way my latest poem as response to a Rick Mobbs image prompt is on FFTR, titled EQUIS ETHEREAL.

61.19972260749 mpg to be exact.
That was the trip over which was mostly highway, slowly due to the rain.
On the way back it was
39.70783532537 because of the stop'n'start of the sightseeing.
Averaged out to 49.02992931268
The in car display says 51.7
Either way, it's O.K. by me.
We always stay at the cabin known as Christie at Loch Aerie resort.
That pic is Lake Quinault in the fog and rain.
The beach was at Moclips.
Artists gots to take lumps.
The more lumps, the more art, I guess.
It's rancor and righteous indignation that makes democracy work.
At least it keeps the newspapers in business.
Don't quote me, I wouldn't want anybody else to know I think that way.
Hallo, Meredith + Lane!!
The LL not only sends her regular "Greetings", but we also send our congratulations on your new "Toy". The LL who knows more than I about autos, say Toyota is THE most reliable auto, so you really didn't need the lifetime guarantee, as Toyotas never break down. Let's hope that's so!!
Tschüß,
Anonomann (+ LL)
I got my appreciation for Toyotas reliability by direct comparison to all the other rolling trash heaps on the road during my 30 years under their hoods.
