Adolf Hitler, Al Franken, Gerry Schwarz

Well I thought I had class today but I didn't get the day right.

But it was a downtown adventure.
First off the battery on the Scooter was dead.
Charged it up enough to get going but had to kick start after that.
But, I did get to Caffe Ladro for the Coffee and peanut butter cookie.
And to the library for some high speed online time.
They give you 90 minutes now.
Looked up some interesting stuff about Uncle Gerry. Later on that.

Victrola for a breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon, cheese, and cilantro.
Yum!
And a Boylan (family run since 1891) black cherry soda.

The big news is from the Seattle times.
The big "G" will step down at the end of his contract (2011)
Whoop-de-do!
There are interesting comments by the Stranger and the NY Times.
Check out

  • Gathering Note

  • For those links.

As the articles all point out G.S. has done a lot for the Seasymph.
    So thanks for that, Ger.
And while we're at it thanks for the Volkswagen, Adolf Hitler.

    Who also had "loyal friends".

Ilkka Talvi is mentioned, the friction has been "negotiated" so every thing is hunky dory now and everyone is giddy with glee.

    But do keep reading

  • Ilkka Talvi

  • Last thing I remember about the SSO is their tendency to turn like a shark in a feeding frenzy and devour anyone who seemed vulnerable.
    That would be ME.
And Ilkka, of course, but mainly ME!

    So, screw 'em!

So, anyway it turns out that school doesn't start for another two weeks.
    Pfaugh!

And neither did the Vespa when I went to wend my way alone along the riverrun to home again.

That little bugger has a lot of compression!

Oh, yeah, Al Franken won the Minnesota senate primary.
Someone with brains in public office!
At least he is a smart ass.
We've got to stick together or surely we will get stuck

Minnesota did elect Jesse Ventura governor so there's that.

Plus they did turn down my wonderful orchestral piece which I titled "Minnesota" in their honor.

    The ingrates!

    But I have my doubts,

    Al's time was decades ago.

Well, it is probably fortunate that you were riding the Vespa when it crapped out, versus Meredith trying to deal with when she used to ride to Boeings.

2011 is still a ways off, so you can still exercise your vitreolic vitals in his direction for many yarin', enit?

Remember that Hitler liked dogs and little girls too. How about Ger in those departments. Perhaps Gerry thinks of himself as an architect and tactiction as well. At least he probably likes Jews.

This beautiful summer's end weather is holding out. Makes one giddy with the possibilities. We are headed back to the coast weekend after this one, on the 19th. Rented a cottage in the new community of Seabrook, where all the cottages and house are built to look like those in New England.

Al Franken in politics, now that is cool. Who is next to take the plunge, Jerry Seinfeld? Maybe he could be the mayor of Malibu. Too bad about your composition being turned down. Those cheeseheads obviously don't know shit about music. Have you heard that the Rock may run for governor of California? Neither did I, but the thought entered my consciousness, like Jim Gandolfini running for the Senate in New York. The fascists are getting a lot of mileage out of Sarah's shirts. What's next, cute mascots?

Actually Meredith left the ignition on all night.
Battery charger got me downtown to my non appointment and kick starting got me home where battery charger got it back in shape.

    Hallo, Lane!
Thanks for the great news that the SEA P.L. now allows 90 minutes on their computers for Internet!!
That's almost as good a news bit as that GS will be past history in a few years; maybe his successor will be "Elektra" conductor Lawrence Renes; the SEA SYMPH musicians liked him when he guest- conducted them.
    Tschüß,
    Anonomann

I am irrationally hoping for Meredith's (the other Meredith) pal Michael Tilson Thomas.
