Bicycle Sunday
Canoe races along the lake, lots of kiddies and parents in the middle of the road, the usual Speedo speeders whizzing by.
Took the 15.5 trip to Queen Anne Starbucks but refrained from coffee, had fruit juice instead and a "protein plate" (boiled egg, grapes, apple, bran bagel, cheese, and peanut butter (which I didn't eat).
No more energy but a little less gas.
I managed to ride all the hills.
Distance - 31.8 miles
Time - 2:46:55
Average speed - 11.4
Maximum speed - 34.7
Total miles - 782
Temperature 63 - 79 degrees, a nice summerend day
Other than that I continue to vegetate, cogitate, and deteriorate.

Yes, this Indian Summer, or wane of summer, or whatever it is does impress with its balmy temps and cloudless moments. It actually seemed uncomfortable to me whenever I emerged from the cool catacombs of my basement lair to brave the day.
Joel got me even more squared away on the new Mac. One of these days I will fly solo a bit, but for the time being I am a fledgeling, a wingless clueless old man trying to learn more new cyber shit.
Why did you not eat the peanut butter? You love it baked into cookies, enit? You are headed toward the 1,000 mile bike club there, sir. That will be a milestone, or a mile marker, or a non-moment depending on your mind set at the time.

I just noticed that the last three postings, Dougie, have only had (1) comment after them--just the old Butcherkind. So although I do not have much wisdom to impart, or humor to share, I just thought I would drop by and kick up this posting to two comments.
By the by, I love the new header that Glenn put on FFTR--it classes up the site. Maybe you should put a header on FFTL; like a biker or cyclist near the lake, or a Ferrari, or Gokwies. Something to consider. Ta ta.

It was just a little plastic packet on peanut butter and it didn't seem to want to mingle with the fruit.
Eddy, Yeah I dig it too dramatic, almost scary considering what Batman likes to do to us who are planning on taking over the world.
I have no clue how to put art in the header.
Even when all I have to do to install a hit counter is copy and paste, that doesn't work.
Probably your cyber consultant, Keth would know how to do it. There probably is a jpg site somewhere with pre-measured headers ready to copy and paste in. When you open your Edit section, there is a templet for the header. E-blogger only allows you to put in either text, a pic, or text over a pic. Since I wanted both, I had to put the text in a different box. Couple of old time dummies are we, but perhaps together we can spruce up the looks of FFTR & FFTL.
