Principia Mathematica

Just because two
And two
Are in separate rooms
Doesn't mean they don't add up to four

See what happens when you fall asleeep on the bus?

Man, the Seattle Transit, what a reality. I have not ridden a bus for over 20 years. I kind of like riding them, but it just takes too damned long to get anywhere on them. I remember in LA, to get from Hollywood to Santa Monica took 30 minutes in a car, and it took 3 hours and 3 transfers on the bus. I tried to ride the bus a few times from Sumner, or Puyallup to work, another 25 minute commute with a car, and it required 2 transfers, and took almost two hours; and that is just too much commute time. A retired country squire wigger like yourself, of course, can take all the time you want. Knowing you, you probably are reading a book for most of the journey. And from your crib in Rainier Beach, it makes perfect sense for you to take a bus downtown for classes or culture or volunteering. For one thing there is never anywhere to park in downtown Seattle unless you are willing to fork out big bucks at a parking garage or lot, right? As a kid, in 1956, while living along Delridge Way, and going to Denny Jr. High, my folks let me take the bus into Seattle, so that I could spend the entire day at the Embassy Theater, watching three movies for .50 cents. My one dollar a week allowance paid my bus fare, the movie, and a treat. Seattle was a calmer safer place then, before the monsters of Benaroya, the SSO harpies and gargoyles, took over a square block of turf. Thank God for Lane Savant, and his Lance of Liberty.

Actually I didn't address your fine free verse, sir. The truth of it is that:
Two and Two
In separate rooms,
Secondary to the principles
Of procreation, murder,
and Suicide,
Could in theory
Add up to two, three, four, five, or even six.
And if any of them can meditate
Or Levitate,
It will be very difficult
At any one moment
To truly know
However the hell many
There are;
Unless you are a priest or rabbi,
And then you will deliver
An edict declaring
An exact number;
But more than likely,
You would lie;
As is your custom.
Obviously our example
Has to occur in America,
Because we only have Two
In any one room.
Can you dig it?

Yes, and because we can only measure position or velocity but not both at the same time, we'll never know, will we?.............Erwin
