Road trip

We are heading out for a overnighter to east WA and the mountains in between.

Packing a few things for the trip.

Found a new LeCarre at the library.

Found out you can buy Cage's 4'33" as a ringtone.

WUWT?

Found some great things to listen to on Alex Ross's site.

Getting 50 mpg out of the Prius.

Getting hungry.

Good bye.

30 years ago on weekends I would grab a lady, or other friend, and drive to Eastern Washington, which turned out to be Middle Washington, between Cle Elum and Ellensburg, to visit the sun, to have a picnic, to go horseback riding. Those were carefree halcyon days I tell you.

Loved those violin pics. Tone, sound, and other factors I would not know about or understand, but like all the handmade instruments you have created in your basement workshop, they look bitchin.

Please explicate WUWT....

50 mpg is gargantuan and great! Makes the 43 mpg we get in the Camry seem paltry. Of course we travel a tad more comfortably in the Camry. My big ass just feels cramped in a beer can Prius. Our big road trip for two weeks to the Southwest is coming up in late June; just around the corner, enit?
Hope your trip was fun, and went well.

For those who care Department.......
My cataract surgery was a gold plated 100% success, and I am typing this with an inflamed but clearly new left eye, loaded with a grand's worth of Toric lens implant. My follow up appointment this morning went well. Life is truly beautiful when one can SEE it!!!! I can drive, read, and use the computer, but will not get a new pair of glasses for 30 days. So I am using (4) dime store pair to get by, a +1.25 for computer screen, a +2.50 for reading extensively, PLano lenses in a demo frame just for protection, and a sharp new pair of wrap around sunglasses with polarized coating.
