Blue sky

Blue sky.
Eagles in the trees -
Blue sky.
Little yellow flowers in the lawn -
Blue sky.
Little red ones in the camellia bush -
Blue sky
Genius -
Blue sky.
Forty years of hard work -

Blue sky.

I spent most of the day yesterday at the eye doctor's. Turns out that my eyes are "unique" A 30 minute appointment became 3 hours, triple dialation that kept my pupils big as a racoon's for 7 hours. I am going to have cataract surgery on May 6th, and I have to submit to a bunch of extra test to insure the measurements of the cornea and eye length are accurate. The doctor will put in a special Toric IOL that should eradicate and correct for more than 60% of my considerable astigmatism. Aren't you glad you asked, or at least were interested. My refractive error, at least the astigmatism, is from a very steep cornea shaped like a 1954 Hudson hub cap, and it is not lenticular. But since my right eye is amblyopic, I could not fixate and control it while they tried to measure the left eye, so now I have to drive up to Bellevue on Monday to have a few tests done on a higher tech piece of equipment.

As to your posting, I am reAlly jazzed by this new feeling and form that you are expressing yourself in. You smile about it, yes, there goes Glenn again gushing about something you have just whipped out, and yet, there is much more to it; much more. Keep it up. Others will dig it as much as I do, for sure.

Melva and I have not been to the ocean since her birthday last October, her fifth annual birthday bash. We return to the north beaches today. I will get off early and we will roll out on that tarmac, lusting for sea breeze. We have a couple of friends who will join us there. Melva has had a lot of stress lately in her job, and so the rest will do us all good.

Yeah, Dude, the Butcherboy is correctamondo--your kind of new way of posting is way cool; kind of a Hemingway meets Kerouac sort of thing. Bring it on.

You know, Glenn has set up line breaks on a lot of your prose over the years, and placed it on FFTR, and you have written some poems, of course--but now if you go back into the archives of that blog you will be able to come up with a slim volume of Palmer poetry. Have you considered that?
