Ukulele

Here's what I was talkin' about.
the fresh finished Ukulele and the 12 gauge double barrel flute.

Seven tries at getting a good shot of the uke, this one isn't very good, most of the inlay detail doesn't show, but at least it's in focus.

Very cool indeed. Have you made instruments for other folks?

I've got a violin out there being used professionally.
It has a fist in place of the usual scroll.
An ugly thing but it sounded nice.
And a bunch of others that I gave to people who played my music for me.
Even a rebec that I gave to the lady who filed the harassment complaint.

Seven tries on the ukulele,
well that might be the magic
number, hey?
Have you posted pics of your
musical tykes on that site
you visit, Homemade Instruments,
or some such handle?
It amazes me the veracity
with which your shake your
fist at the universe. Most folks
take an internship for decades
with a master builder of only
one kind of instrument before
they perfect the techniques,
and you make a variety of
instruments simply because
you wanted to and no one told
you that you couldn't.

Hallo, Lane!
"lady" is the wrong 4-letter word for a psycho who files a harassment complaint against some one who simply tried to recruit the complainer to play one of his flute pieces.
I'd love to hear something played by you soon on the uke and the new flute, and I promise I won't call you a harasser for playing the flute.

Just bumped into a video of
Jake Shimabukuro playing
Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody"
on the ukulele, striving to show
the universe that the challenges
to playing a four string two octave
instrument are, or can be, circum-
navigated by a superb musician.
The video is on my FB page.
