Paco

Went downtown again for the Picasso exhibit today.
What's a class act like that doing in a backwater hick town like Seattle?
Loads of fun but too many people interfere with contemplation.

Art is the elimination of the unnecessary.

Art is a lie that makes us realize truth.

Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.

Everything you can imagine is real

It was the night before Christmas
and I found myself trundling
behind my wife and children
and grandchildren to go to
church so that I could be
scolded for not tithing enough,
for not being hypocritical enough,
for not being self-deluded enough
to please my Christian fellows.

Hallo, Lane!
Seems like you have a classy exhibit at the SAM.
The LL will be going to Essen on Jan. 5 to see among other things a large exhibit of French impressionist paintings.
She hopes Meredith received the letter she recently sent her.
We send our best regards to her , you and Keth.

Here we have a bunch of cool famous paintings too. How did this hick town get a Monet, A Manet, a Degas and such? Freaking LOVE them.
