sticks, twigs, bits of string

Safe in a fortress built from the skeletons of my meatless memories
Surrounded by the stories I have accumulated.
Protected by the escarpment of my wise investments.
Invisible to my enemies.

I no longer need shoes.

I am crazy about this!

LOVE this line: "the skeletons of my meatless memories" and also the last. Very clever!

A terrific poetic read, sir.
Nice to see you back in
the writing mix, a grateful
nod to your Muses.
