Past Eve and Adam's

Too lazy to think up anything of my own, I stoled this from Omniscient Mussel.

"On Friday evening at the River Run, the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony with the help of violinist Gilles Apap tried to solve (the argument) by presenting a program that asked “What if it was just all music?” Removing qualifiers like classical, folk etc, requires evaluation of each piece on its own merits rather than by its category. It’s more work for the listener, but ultimately, more rewarding as new discoveries are made and new perspectives formed."

Nice sentiment, but there's the old "What if" that proves the "Not yet"
I suppose I could work on that sentence to make it more profound, but, what if I did?
What's in it for me? (see the word "lazy" earlier in this post)

I've got to get a new toner cartridge before Thursday.
The tension is almost keeping me awake.
The problem is that I must decide whether to drive my cold rattly VW van with the Ferrari painted on the side to the store of take Fidelio the Peugeot.
The Pooj would be the more healthy, but the VeeWee would be faster.
But the van is less "green"
Do you see what I "mean"
And to further complicate this nonsense, which store?
Hunh?
Fry's mega store?
Office Depot?
OMG, it's only 5 miles, I could walk!

My brain hurts, I think I'll just go back to bed.

Dear mister Ma, I am the sole inspiration for all Lane's art.
He wouldn't steal anything, especially from someone like you.

I like the concept that a listener could make "new discoveries and form new perspectives". God knows we need it, or could use both.

You certainly are having a transportation quandry. The Pooj would be healthier, and the sun is bright, and the toner will not be hard to carry; but of course, the VW van with the Ferrari sort of painted on the sides would zoom down to those stores in the blink of an eye, and return you for more composing sooner.

I think that you will find that playing with other people's sentences does not get you off; although it might. I guess I do it all the time, enit?

As to Pierre Shickelleugh and his complaint that he thinks you are nuts to ape Gabriel Foureff, it just rings as untrue. He obviously is just a French maniac himself suffering from several forms of disillusion. The proof is that you heard immediately from Msr. Foureff, disclaiming the kookoo data promulgated by Shickelleugh. By the way I know that you have also studied extensively the musical compositions of Gaspar Wonnaye, which makes sense since you served you country bravely as a 1A soldier in the wilds of Alaska. No one should assume that you would spend too much time studying a man who rhymes with 4F.
Nice to hear from Yo Yo, because I always felt that you and your work would or should come to his attention sooner or later. Miss Emily just needs to get over her Oriental dislike syndrome, ODS, for it is quite unbecoming.

As to the reality or unreality of these folks, that answer resides in the recesses of FFTL. Lane Savant is a fine old moniker, and it has history to recommend it. So HA to the French twirp who belittles it. I am surprised that Eddy Emerald did not weigh in on this issue.

Never did have much love for Frog Music, so let the Frenchies bicker. That's what they're used to, and about all they're good for anyway.

I did spend some time studying classical music though, before I hit it big, or small, in Rock and Roll. I got hung up on Chinese Opera after a time, that and Ravi Shankar; would have used the sitar before the Beatles if I had not checked out so soon.

He is a sane person and a genius on the 'cello.

I would like to lodge a complaint that no one on this blog seems to take Rap very seriously. It is, after all, this generation's music, and it has been strong in the Biz for 20 years now; beat the hell out of Disco, jack.

Look through Omniscient Mussel's site until you find "daffodils" done in rap style by a gigantic chipmunk or some kind of furry animal.
